Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-app-install
In Add / Remove Applications, I have noticed that the buttons associated
with actually doing the program's job (installing programs) lack icons,
while all other buttons (such as Cancel) do have icons.
The two buttons without icons are "Apply Changes" in the main window,
and "Add / Remove More Applications" in the dialog that appears after
installing the user's selection.
Because of that, the icon-less buttons somehow appear less important
than the buttons that cancel, which do have icons. This also gives the
program an unfinished feel, since everything else in the program has an
icon, and draws the user's attention away from the most important
button.
My suggestion for a fix is to give the first "Apply Changes" button the
stock Apply icon, the meaning of which is immediately obvious. The "Add
/ Remove More" button, on the other hand, could be left as is or given
the stock Close icon to reflect how it causes the dialog to close
(assuming the button to quit the program is then given the stock Quit
button, which is more suited to its role).
