Public bug reported: Hi Exim4-Team, I have made some changes for me in the exim start script /etc/init.d/exim4 which might be nice for other users, too.
The problems I had why I wanted to change the init script were because I am using my own configuration which differs in some pathes for logs and spool and so on. Even another exim_user and exim_group is used. exim4 -bP <variable> shows the value of the variable and I added this to the script to gather more information from the exim config than to set it hard. The bad thing is: I changed the shell to bash to have it without several awk-calls. If you would accept the script without setting the shell to bash I can do the conversions with awk-calls.
