I tried the boot-repair tool to get it working. I first had it generate a report:
http://paste.ubuntu.com/12141781/ I then had it do the automatic repair: http://paste.ubuntu.com/12141898/ Now it seems to boot to Ubuntu, but doesn't seem to know about the encrypted partition and eventually just boots to a BusyBox shell. I am cutting my losses and reinstalling (in between I have changed from Legacy to UEFI boot, so perhaps the result will be better), but should it be this hard? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1487521 Title: "No boot device found" on Dell E7250 laptop after clean install with encryption To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shim/+bug/1487521/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
