I have not been able to install various software such as bittorrent
applications.
Updates have not been successful for the past month or so. I am using
Ubuntu 14.04.
I was unable to update to 14.10. I was perfectly happy with 14.04 until
the strange things (stated above) happened.
This inability to install updates after a certain time is the reason I
did a complete fresh reinstallation last time.

I am unable to upgrade to Ubuntu 14.10 and have had error messages appear when
trying to install security updates etc.
