Florian R, to clarify, the nvidia drivers will never build with the
upstream kernel as designed. Also, this is not In Progress as defined in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Status .
Despite this, to confirm, you uninstall the nvidia drivers, booted into
the latest mainline kernel (4.2-rc8) and can or cannot reproduce the
problem?
