Public bug reported:
To reproduce open ubuntu-mate-welcome and then click on chat then click
the green link for freenode. ubuntu-mate welcome will open the webpage
for freenode in intself and not a normal browser.

I expected this link to freenode to work like the links in the
introductoin to microsoft or ubuntu or about desktop enviornments.
Instead ubuntu-mate welcome tries to open this link in itself amd then
results in being unbale to navigate to the other pages of ubuntu-mate
welcome but clicks on the parts of the freenode website.
