This issue started happening after I upgraded to Ubuntu 15.04. I had no
problem with 14.04, with whatever was the newest stable kernel as of
July 24th.

Same problem with upstream 4.2.0-040200-generic.
The resume process stops at the same point. Note that the cursor is still
blinking, but nothing else is happening.
