I confirm that installing the version of shim-signed in precise-proposed
on a system that has grub installed will remove grub in favor of
grub2-common.

The precise version of grub2-common does not contain the grub-install
utility, so installing grub2-common will not cause the shim-signed
package to successfully install the bootloader to /boot/efi/EFI/. It
will however allow the package to be installed, avoiding upgrade
failures.

For precise, users will still need to otherwise ensure that they have
the correct bootloader package installed for their system.
