to reproduce
1) open editor
2) hit 'sign/verify' to sign the contents
3) select key
4) hit OK and/or login
result:
Signing not possible: bad passphrase or missing key.
of course that's not what's happening at all -- what's happening is
there is no input, and it's unclear whether signing or verifying is
what's being attempted
