I'm trying to mound a Mac OS Classic CD-ROM (Tired with MacOS 8 System
CD, Macintosh Performa CD, Day of the Tentacle)
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo mount -t hfs /dev/cdrom1 /media/cdrom0/
mount: block device /dev/scd0 is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/scd0,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
dmesg returns:
[ 2718.700000] hfs: can't find a HFS filesystem on dev sr0.
[ 2791.072000] hfs: can't find a HFS filesystem on dev sr0.
Gnome automount returns:

My System history: studio 7.04 => studio 7.10 => ubuntu 7.10
my kernel: kernel 2.6.22-12-generic (the problem also occurred on previous
kernels)
my hardware: ASUS Z53SV (F3Sv) Notebook
