to reproduce in unbutu mate 15.10 in a live session open the system menu
prefrences look and feel and then appearance. Then click customize and
pointer.

I expected to see a preview of the defualt cursor similar to all the other
cursors that offered a preview instead the defualt cursor was missing a preview.
