** Description changed:

  Ubuntu 15.04

Multiple packages (tested Audacity, Openshot, Kdenlive, and LMMS)

I'm having trouble working with any kind of software that mandates audio
  editing (Audacity, Openshot, Kdenlive, etc.)

Since upgrading to Ubuntu 15.04, I've been running into issues with a
lot of the audio editing software that I've been using. Audacity has the
issue of the seek speeding through the entirety of the audio file while
emitting a static buzzing sound. The same thing happens on LMMS. On
video editors that I've been working with, Openshot and Kdenlive, any
audio file I put in is played out of sync to the point that the file is
truncated early towards the end of the clip. I've also tested this on
Unity and Plasma, so I know it isn't the desktop environment impacting
  anything.

I have no clue what software package could be causing this, but I have a
- feeling it's likely something on Pulseaudio's end.
+ feeling it's likely something on Pulseaudio's end. It's likely a
+ Pulseaudio issue because all of the issues in these packages have to do
+ with audio and they all rely on Pulseaudio.
