Public bug reported:

lspci:

04:00.0 Ethernet controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 08)
        DeviceName: Onboard LAN
        Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device 2ad5
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 30
        Memory at f7100000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=256K]
        I/O ports at d000 [size=128]
        Capabilities: <access denied>
        Kernel driver in use: alx

I have issue in newest linux distributions that I don't have working
internet connection even I have wired. I used lot of time to find what
was the problem and what could be solution. Even I have alx drivers but
that was not working either. Internet worked with Ubuntu 12.04 series
and Debian 8 Jessie. But with from Ubuntu 15.04 it was not working
anymore. Today at last I found accidentally solution which is not
permanent as this is bug. I have to go "Editing wired connection" and
there I have to switch MTU from automatic to 8192. Then restart
computer. Without this there is no internet. I think it is ridiculous
that this small rock in shoes still travel with latest releases and is
not fixed.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Package changed: nautilus (Ubuntu) => ubuntu
