Well, xserver-xorg-video-ati version 1:6.7.193-1ubuntu1 didn't fix my
problem. I have since done some more tests and have learned that adding
the following section to my xorg.conf allows me to load X with the "ati"
driver.
Section "Module"
Disable "glx"
Disable "dri"
EndSection
I will attach the requested xrandr --verbose -q -d :0, with the ati
driver presently.
