So I downloaded latest Wily daily build for kubuntu, reinstalled the OS
again, and nope, it doesn't automatically detect the display resolution.
This is bullshit, cause it worked before fine with other week's ISO
image / installation ISO, now even adding it with xrandr doesn't stick.
Unplugging the monitor while Kubuntu is up and running, and plugging it
back in again, rebooting, seemed to work for short time but that's it.
There's no config/monitors.xml file at all, and don't know about
/etc/X11/xorg.conf cause can't just right click on folder for root and
open it as root like other OSes do. I was loving Kubuntu Wily till all
this crap started happening, most OSes let it automatically detect
screen resolutions, and users just select what's best for them with
their monitor, nope, not any more with Wily.. >_<. Guess it's time to go
to OpenSuse Tumbelweed or whatever.. This sucks, shouldn't be so
complicated to do monitor detection, then average "dumb" users spend
hours trying to learn how to make edits to OS files or create them
yet... pfft.
