The new version is now available for testing,
you can install them from this PPA:
https://code.launchpad.net/~checkbox-dev/+archive/ubuntu/testing
The new GUI is now called checkbox-converged, please feel free to open
any bug for it.
I will close this bug with Won't Fix, thanks!
