I forgot to mention that I looked up on the links you provided but the zip file that was downloaded from http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers contains only one folder named 'Windows'. This folder only contains a .exe file and a readme file which says that the user should open the .exe file under windows mode.
I thought that my bios probably needs a winphlash but from what I read from this forum (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1295003) that is not the case because the zip file did not provide a winphlash application. I am probably missing something but I don't know what to do in this situation. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1485593 Title: My touchpad is not working.
