I have spent significant time trying to upgrade the BIOS. I'm almost
ready to re-install windows 7 or greater as I am unable to run the .exe
through any means (tried wine but I'm not that proficient with it, and
I'm concerned doing a BIOS update through Wne is risky). I also tried
to use freedos, was able to boot from USB and navigate to the USB drive
and look at the directory to find the .exe files, but non of them will
run.

So I'm stuck here trying to understand how to upate my BIOS with a linux
machine when Lenovo only seems to provide solutions for windows
operating systems to update the BIOS on the B50-45.
