It is also recommended to _disable_  VT-d(Intel Virtualization
Technologies) in the BIOS when using:

i915_semaphores=1

boot option.

This increases the stability of the stack / system, according to Intel's
release notes for this option.


This fixed my DELL Inspiron 3646 using a J2900 cpu BayTrail / ValleyView SoC on 
Ubuntu 15.04.
