I'm not sure exactly why the crash that occured on this first
installation on an old Thinkpad R61e automatically brought me to a bug
report here. It didn't give me a chance to verify if I made some error
myself or had a dud installation DVD or what, so at this stage the only
bug I feel it's reasonable to report is that the bug reporting process
came up automatically without my intentionally asking for it.
