Public bug reported:
The description for the mysql-server metapackage is wrong.
The package's data reads:
Package: mysql-server
Version: 5.5.35+dfsg-1ubuntu1
Depends: mysql-server-5.5
Description-en: MySQL database server (metapackage depending on the latest
version)
However, the package depends on mysql-server-5.5 while there is mysql-
server-5.6 available as well. Thus, it doesn't depend on the "latest
version" as it claims.
In fact, mysql-server-5.5 is the oldest version in the current
repositories.
The description should read something like
"MySQL database server (metapackage depending on a conservative default
version)"
