Public bug reported: Binary package hint: debian-installer
I've just done a Gutsy installation to a pair of mirrored disks. It all went fine, but when it installed GRUB on the MBR, it only put it on the first of the two disks - this means if the first disk fails, the machine won't boot. I had to type the appropriate GRUB commands as shown in the last section of https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/RAID1 to get GRUB on the second disk's MBR; I'd prefer the installer to offer to do this itself. ** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- RAID installation only puts GRUB on one MBR https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144868 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
