Haxe 3.0.0 is available to ubuntu since trusty 14.04.
I've also updated Haxe to 3.2.0 in Debian, so Ubuntu will get it eventually
(probably in 16.04).
Note that you may also manually download and install the deb file available at
https://packages.debian.org/sid/haxe
