I plugged my graphics card into an old computer I have (Asus M2NPV-VM). The other computer was running Ubuntu 14.04.3 with Linux version 3.13.0-63-generic (dmesg log attached).
The same display connected on the same displayport did work fine. However, it was slow because the GPU was not yet well supported in Linux version 3.13. I believe My displayport problem might be BIOS related. I think I will have to wait for a BIOS update to use my displayport again. Until then I will use DVI ports. ** Attachment added: "dmesg.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1499491/+attachment/4483796/+files/dmesg.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1499491 Title: Display connected on DisplayPort turns black during boot and never returns To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1499491/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
