Would you clarify what you do to stop networking? Such as in the GUI or
using ifconfig.

On 15.10 Beta 2, I've tried unticking "Enable Networking" from the panel
icon's menu and, although the window manager doesn't crash, there is a
system software problem error message. Upon the next login, Apport
reports the attached error.
