I have tried to install Ubuntu 15.10 (the same file of the same image) on VirtualBox on another host machine. A part some message during the first restart, all went perfect and the system works like a charm. I think the problem above is made by the host machine and not by Ubuntu guest.
First host machine: MacBook Pro 8,2 running Fedora 22 with VirtualBox 5. Second host machine: Xeon 3360 Radeon HD5450 running Ubuntu 15.04 with VirtualBox 5.
