These "*i18n_Translation-en" errors are met quite every day. But they are mainly disturbing: redo an upload , and you usually does not met it.
As i get so often that issue myself, i quite understand how it is produced: - if the server (from where you download) get itself some new updated package(s) AND at the SAME TIME the user upload its archive, then xapian is disturbed and confused, as its index is rebuilt on the server (aka changing) and then mismatch (so the error) - to get a better working index, i think the index should be saved when it is stable (not updated/changed on the server) and then used to avoid the mismatch on the user side. (instead of the unique realtime server index that often change) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1368715 Title: update-apt-xapian-index crashed with IOError in __init__(): [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/var/lib/apt/lists/ppa.launchpad .net_ubuntu-mate-dev_ppa_ubuntu_dists_utopic_main_i18n_Translation-en' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt-xapian-index/+bug/1368715/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
