Public bug reported:

Hard for me to say what exactly caused this.
I have just upgraded to Ubuntu 7.10 and was at the time running VMWare
Workstation 6 in the background.
Right before the crash I uninstalled gnash and installed flashplugin-nonfree
since gnash hogged my CPU.
Then synaptic crashed. Then apport crashed trying to report the crash. Then
firefox crashed when apport tried to get me to report its own crash... and so
on. It seems that every window/application where I tried to use the keyboard
crashed, gedit just being one in the bunch.
I do not think I will able to reproduce this one...
