Auto save directory/last save directory both work for me if I call gnome-screenshot or gnome-screenshot --interactive from an xterm, but neither work when I press Print Screen. 'Screenshot of a window' and 'screenshot of an area' behave identically.
I worked around this issue by defining custom keyboard shortcuts to 'gnome-screenshot', 'gnome-screenshot -w', 'gnome-screenshot -a'. My hunch is that the default shortcuts are passing '--file=$FILENAME' to gnome-screenshot, after failing to define the filename properly (they shouldn't pass --file to gnome-screenshot at all, imo), but I'm not sure where to look to track down where this behavior is defined. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/977228 Title: [Ubuntu 12.04] gnome-screenshot forgets "last-save-directory" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-screenshot/+bug/977228/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
