If it shows a blank page, then it hasn’t crashed. A crash would take the entire
application down.
What you were seeing is the renderer process being killed by the system because
it was out of memory. Usually, closing other open applications helps, and the
page can be reloaded.
In OTA7 (the upcoming stable update), this has been made more user-friendly: a
message will be displayed to inform what has happened, and allow reloading the
page.
