Sorry to hear. Unfortunately as Mir is under development, it is only
being maintained in the latest Ubuntu release (now 15.10 wily).
Also, Mir 0.1 in trusty is sixteen releases and 1.5 years behind current
Mir development(!)
If you would like to try the unity8 desktop session, please give Ubuntu 15.10
(not quite released yet) a go:

Or just wait a week before it is officially released.
