Thanks for your report! Please note that two windows are opened when you
start Language Support. One of the windows shows a progress bar when the
application checks that all the language support packages for the
installed languages are present. That window is supposed to disappear
after a couple of seconds, while the main window is supposed to be
visible, of course.
Can you please open a terminal window, and start Language Support from
there. The command is
gnome-language-selector
Please show us any error messages you see.
