This seems to be the same bug in my case I am running Ubuntu 15.04. I tried to install the drivers from the add printer setting, but it installed a driver for mfc-7220 even though it recognised my model mfc-7340. I removed those driver because they didn't work, and decided to try to run a script from : http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1697333
But the download link to the drivers in the script gives a "404 file not found". I tried to manually install using the information from the above, however I cannot get the following pre requisite to install/work: # sudo aa-complain cupsd # sudo: aa-complain: command not found I then tried Synaptic package manager, and searched for "brother" and tried to install the mfc-7340 driver from there. It was during the process of installing that the system gave the error that bought me here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/836373 Title: package brother-lpr-drivers-laser (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/brprintconfiglpr2', which is also in package brmfc7340lpr 2.0.2-1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/brother-lpr-drivers-laser/+bug/836373/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
