It is not enough to just disable third party sources, you also need to
ensure that the packages provided by the third party source are not
versions greater than the release to which you are trying to upgrade.
You could use the tool ppa-purge to disable the PPAs and downgrade the
package versions to the ones from vivid.

The issue is likely the with some xserver-xorg packages you have
installed.
