I'm fairly sure I chose "desktop user". I suppose it's only a bunch of pre-set groups, though, and the groups are fine.
Anyway, creating a third user actually didn't have the problem, so tried a few things, such as changing groups and deleting dotfiles. It must have been a problem caused by keeping my old user directory (for my main user, I also scrapped all dotfiles beforehand, because I like to see the default Gnome in all its new, updated glory), i.e., deleting all dotfiles did the trick (though for some reason it didn't really change the guest's theme and panel settings ... well, they must live somewhere else I guess). Sorry for all the trouble, but it might be a good idea to do more testing with 7.04 users migrating to 7.10, in case I'm not the only one with that problem. -- Gnome Logout button doesn't work for guest account https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/145303 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
