Re comment #36: What is written in the previous comments is a troubleshooting (diagnostic) process, not a user support forum. Troubleshooting is often necessary for bug reports. The suggestions in comment #36 would be problematic to implement, however there is probably an opportunity to make more use of Launchpad's Ubuntu version targeting feature.
