Thanks for the report and the upstream information.
So, the fact is that the commit in question missed 15.08 by 5 days and nobody
bothered applying that to the 15.08 stable branch either (I checked the
Applications/15.08 branch, and the plugin is still disabled there). I'll check
with upstream if this is safe enough to apply to 15.08 so it can be part of the
15.08.3 release next week, otherwise this will have to wait for 15.12.
