It looks like drwright (aka typing break) has been abandoned, as described 
here:

As also described there, a good alternative is workrave.

But workrave also needs better integration with whatever the bloody
notification/indicator/panel/new-api-of-the-day is.

Its a shame, since repetitive-strain injuries are indeed a big problem
for computer users, and the folks most affected are exactly the folks
that shouldn't be faced with a lot of sudden
development/packaging/integration work in order to avoid injury just
because they upgrade distributions.

Sigh.
