I have just installed Lubuntu 15.10, and I merely installed Nemo from the repositories.
Nemo is now up to version 2.6.7-1, and still exhibits the same fragilitiy. Everything will be fine, then I will click on a tab, or similar, and nothing will happen - shortly thereafter, all windows (and the desktop), will disappear, and shortly thereafter, the "[L]Ubuntu has experienced an internal error" window will pop up. This time (probably because I obtained Nemo through the repositories this time), I was able to report it using 'ubuntu-bug nemo'.
