Barry,
Can you please run the installer using the --debug option (`ubiquity --debug`
in a console window), then attach /var/log/syslog and /var/log/installer/debug
to this bug report? When you say "freezes", I'm assuming you mean that the
installer is stopping at the migrate documents and settings page and not
letting you proceed past it, correct? That is, it's not getting to the actual
install routine (when you see a copying files progress bar). Do you by any
chance have a Windows Vista partition on this computer?
