Public bug reported:

On my laptop, Dell m3800, the default resolution 3200x1800 makes
everything unreadable, so I need to keep the resolution lower, i.e.,
1920x1080. Everything worked fine in Kubuntu 15.04. After the upgrade to
Kubuntu 15.10, if I turn the resolution to 1920x1080 (or any lower
resolution than the default one), the screen starts to flickering often
(with the default resolution 3200x1800 this does not happen).

I tried to turn off compositing, using Xrender, etc. nothing seems to
work.
