The drive reported a media error, but this does sometimes happen as the
result of a sudden loss of power in the middle of a write.  These errors
can be corrected by writing to the drive ( just can't read the
incorrectly written part ).  You might want to run badblocks -n on the
drive from a livecd to test reading and writing to the full drive, and
if that comes out ok, and the SMART status still indicates no
reallocated or pending blocks, then it should be fine.

Unfortunately, correctly diagnosing this requires manual inspection of
the logs, along with some testing, like running badblocks or the SMART
self test.
