This bug happens to me too, with only certain PDFs. I am not sure what makes a pdf not work in Evince, but I have attached one that works for me, and linked one that doesn't.
For example, this test PDF I just exported from LibreOffice prints perfectly (see attached), but an academic paper I downloaded always prints blank pages. Link to paper that does not print: http://hunch.net/~coms-4771/quinlan.pdf I can't even successfully print out the first page of this pdf, it always just makes my printer print blank pages. Note that the number of blank pages matches the number of pages it would have printed, as in, if I tell it to print just page 1, it gives me one blank sheet. I tried printing the exact same pdf in SumatraPDF and it printed without issue. Evince is my favorite PDF viewer, being able to print out pdfs is a very useful feature, I hope this gets fixed soon.
