Public bug reported:
Manager UI does not show any updated information. Main status window just
shows "Retrieving current status"
Projects: Synchronize, project web pages, project commands buttons are all
greyed out, but clickable. project drop-down is greyed out, does not show the
selected project, but is clickable, and you can select the project. suspend is
greyed out, but clickable and works.
In short, the UI functions, but does not redraw its window contents, so
you have to click around blindly to use it.
