Sorry, I stand corrected… must have booted 3.16 yesterday. Today with the 4.2.0 kernel the core temperatures rose again, only not so much as half a year ago. Outside -- and consequently room -- temperatures here in the Northern Hemisphere have dropped somewhat, that might account for it. So my notebook did not switch off but came into considerable neighbourhood (proximity? sorry, poor English) of the critical temperatures. I will stay with the 3.16 kernel.
