14:19 <rbasak> cpaelzer, smb: would it be possible to have a dep8 test that requires virt isolation, checks that there is exactly one mount, restarts the service and checks that there is exactly one mount again?
Unless there's a good reason not to, I'd like to see a dep8 test for the functionality of mounting hugetlbfs without duplicates along with the fix please, validated by failing before the fix and passing after the fix. We're packaging this directly and freshly in Ubuntu and DPDK will be doing into main shortly, so we have the opportunity of keeping the packaging top quality. If we're adding something for packaging that isn't upstream and we can test it, we should. OTOH I accept that trying to make sure it works even if the system doesn't have /usr mounted is harder to test and may not be practical given our current tooling, so best effort for that without a specific dep8 test is fine.
