Public bug reported: Multiple users report that 15.10 fails to correctly install GRUB. In the UEFI menu, "ubuntu" shows up as a boot option, but selecting it fails to load GRUB. However, some users report installing successfully with 15.04, or 14.04, or Mint. Some commands that are reported to have screwed up otherwise working systems include: grub-install, boot-repair.
