Hi guys, I contacted Jabra support, and apparently this is a well known issue -- he reiterated that they don't actually provide any Linux support. However, if you are able to temporarily connect your Jabra device up to a Windows machine, and load their Jabra Direct software you can switch the device over to PC Audio mode and convert the multi-function button to an "on/off" switch. You would now need to remove the device from the cradle, turn it "on" with the multi-function button, and the audio/mic should stay on until you turn it off again.
