Dear Christopher, thank you for your reply. I have updated the BIOS with what appeared to be the newest version available from Dell.
I now get > sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date A10 08/28/2013 I did not experience any freeze for a short while (one full day, while my laptop was plugged into power). Today, while my laptop was running on battery power I experienced the first freeze since the BIOS upgrade. It appears identical to what I used to have before upgrade (i.e. not only the laptop does not respond, to keyboard/trackpad, but the screen displays some strange pattern, cfr. the image attached to my first bug report). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1517348 Title: Xorg freeze on DELL XPS13 L322X Ubuntu 15.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1517348/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
