Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kde-guidance
I'm running Gutsy and tried displayconfig, both GTK and KDE versions. They exploded my X configuration, yet this is not the bug I'm reporting. When rebooting, X seemed to have started but only offered a black screen. So I rebooted in single mode and called displayconfig-restore in the hope of restoring my initial configuration. But displayconfig-restore is requiring X to run, which is a strange architectural choice for a program design to restore a functional X configuration. And I'm even more afraid by the homepage of displayconfig, which seems to be dead since March 2007. ** Affects: kde-guidance (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- displayconfig-restore is requiring functional X to run https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/146224 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
